CCA orientation

Woke up early in the morning all ready to o to school for the sec1 CCA orientation! wahh... after much preparation of yesterday rushing to do finish my souvenirs and laying out of the classroom.

Our cca classroom had a nice atmosphere. It was dark and cozy. The OHP light was focusing on our awards with the background of the shooting star. A corner of a classroom was just a fake tent (cant get the tent that we used because it is the most expensive tents in the world and only Camp Christine has it). In the middle of the classroom, firewoods were arranged in a campfire setting. We used torchlights and orangey yellow transparent paper to create the 'fire' (actually wanted to use light up the kerosene lamps but Mrs KOh don't allow... aww) Only the level 1 and level 2 were used for the orientation. Scouts used the grass patch area in the middle of the classroom block. Poor them... their boots were all muddy because it had been raining for the past few days before the orientation. Many of our seniors came back! wow wow wow!! ^-^!!! ruluan, jasmine, jze ying, liying, shiya, etc! wow wow wow!!! =) :)

We went around asking people to join either guides or scouts or ncc land. hahax, help to advertise for them too. Thanks land and scouts for advertising for guides too! =) hahax, i would always target those sec1s with parents around. heex! then 'lured' them into our classroom and started introduction on guides. heex! A number of them showed interest. Hope will get a good number of recruits this year.

Around 10am, the sec1s had their recess in the canteen. Ncc land, NPCC practice their footdrill for the sec1s. Then BB came, using speakers and microphone catching all the sec1s attention (left the poor ncc land and npcc there without attention) and displayed their fancy drill. After that, we got the guides to assemble into their squad and matched around the canteen. hahax! so weird.. first time marched in the canteen. ahhax!

While julia and i were heading back to our classroom, we saw the nccs, military band and BB marching together in squad!! wow wow wow !!! that looked so magnificient and fun!! I wanted to join in the squad, we looked at our seniors, jze ying and jasmine, they encouraged us to join! YEAH! Then we joined in. We also signalled to other guides to join in. Soon, more and more UG joined in! WOW WOW WOW!!!! The squad was so BIG. COOL! We as one united UG squad, marched around the classroom block, parade square, foyer. wow wow wow! This was the first time we UG combined squad, cheered and the first time i marched so hyper-ly and happy. hahax! Then volleyball and eldds also joined in. ahhax!

After that, we fall out of the squad and started packing up the classroom because many sec1s had gone home. We shouted a cheer before we left. wow! so great to release the 'high-ness' within me. hehe! After that, julia and i left the school to have lunch with wen juan at J8 kfc chatted until 4pm then julia and i went to tpy to meet wf, yat kai and darren to watch death note. The movie was alright. ahhax!

Then around 6.30pm we watched finshed, all of us stood at the side, while the guys were discussing where to go next. hahax! We sent julia near the bus stop for her to take a bus home, then they accompanied to the red circle as i decided to go to weiling's birthday party.

Her birthday was held at the clubhouse opposite ricky's house. i helped out to bbq the food then left the place at 9.15pm. Waited for my bus for 30mins!! wahh... rotting away at the bus stop... ahhax!

Reached home totally exhausted and sleepy. Had a good bath and used a bit of the computer, then the flu virus got me. AHHH! I took my flu medicine and went to sleep....

yawn yawn.... what a long day..
