hahax, this camp, first time ever in my life beofre the camp, i made a big mistake and i swear i'll never make the same mistake again. Reach there i'm on the first patrol, started pitching tent. There were 8 people in each patrols. As for my patrol, 8 of us are all from different school. wow! cool eh! heex. MOst guides attending this camp are sec2s and are from school from jurong and bedok area. Eveything went smoothly. After tent pitching, we had catered lunch. For the camp, only the first day lunch, and the last day lunch were catered, other meal we have to prepare ourselves. After lunch was gadget making (tie up wooden poles to make hsoe rack, luggage rack and clothes hanger)then was axemanship. Then my patrol duty for today was wood, so we had to chop some wood for dinner and sort of practise how to do it.
Dinner preparation time! we set up fire by using firestarter and wood. Cook noodles soup with carrot, ,beanspout... Turn out to be quite nice. hahha! Later we gathered together and our guides spoke to us about objectives of camp, promise & law at camp, camping standards and procedures. She told us that the next day we would be having traditional campfire which means no games, can have items/performances, only can sing guides songs. aww.... We had some song session. Some of the songs were meant to be sang in school during guides meeting but we didnt!! aiyoo!
